JonBec Care Inc. originated October 1, 1990. JonBec Care owns and operates 14 Intermediate Care Facilities for the intellectually disabled-habilitative (ICF/DD-H), 6 Intermediate Care Facilities for the intellectually disabled-nursing (ICF/DD-N), and 2 Adult Day Care Centers.
These facilities are located in the cities of Yucaipa, Redlands, Calimesa, Grand Terrace, and Loma Linda. With respect to the ICF/DD-H and ICF/DD-N facilities there are six (6) residents in each of these facilities. These facilities are actual 3-5 bedroom homes in the community. These facilities are 24 hour care, 365 days a year. Each of the homes were remodeled or built from the ground up to accommodate clients in very large wheelchairs. Ninety percent (90%) of our resident population is in a wheelchair.
The ICF/DD-H offers to the individual with intellectual disabilities a home like environment and services in the areas of nursing care, occupational therapy, physical therapy, behavior modification, dietary services, speech therapy, recreation therapy, community and social involvement and interaction. There is an RN and a physician on call to the facility 24 hours a day.
The ICF/DD-N offers to the individual with intellectual disabilities all of the same services identified above in addition to additional nursing care. The ICF/DD-N facility can admit those clients with the following nursing needs: G-tube feedings, insulin administration, colostomy/ileostomy care, oxygen administration, chronic UTI’s, severe seizures, and catheterization. There is a LVN on site at the facility 8 hours per day and an RN and physician available on call 24 hours per day.
Our ICF/DD-H and ICF/DD-N facilities are licensed and monitored by the California Department of Public Health, Licensing and Certification Division and the US Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. We are required to comply with state and federal regulations. The two day programs are licensed and monitored by the Department of Social Services and also monitored by the Inland Regional Center.

Becky Joseph, Owner/CEO
JonBec Care Inc. derived its name from the owners of the corporation, Jonathan and Becky Joseph; the first three letters of each of their first names were joined together. Jonathan and Becky purchased ten of the facilities in 1990 from the previous corporation, at which they were working. After the purchase they opened an additional five facilities, purchased five more existing facilities from another owner, opened an Adult Day Care Center in 1995, and began a conversion process of their ICF/DD-H facilities to ICF/DD-N’s in 2003 with successfully converting 3 facilities to the license category ICF/DD-N by 2006. The reason behind the conversion from “H” category to “N” category was because as our own residents are aging, their medical needs become greater, therefore, requiring more nursing care. Since 2006 there have been 3 more facilities converted from ICF/DD-H to ICF/DD-N and the company continues to explore the opportunities for future conversions to the ICF/DD-N category. The single ADHC program was converted to an ADC (Adult Day Care) program and an additional ADC program was later opened as well.
Jonathan has over 30 years of experience in the health care field with a master’s degree in Psychology. Becky has been in the health care field since 1981, has a bachelors degree in business administration, and is a licensed California Nursing Home Administrator.
Our residents have been with us for many, many years and are experiencing life in a new and uplifting way never before imagined. We are able to offer so much more to them in a community based setting versus a large institutionalized setting.
The individuals we serve in our facilities are now, have always been, and will always be the first priority in this business.
They are the reason we exist.
